Well, three ugly reasons counting Donald Trump, but I was referring to the Koch brothers ...

Duh...lol. The fossil fuel industry is fighting it tooth and nail by committing millions and millions to it.
It must be said, has the fossil fuel (coal and oil) every been on the right side of any national debate they are involved?
If they are, its the exception to the rule. An example of some of the major debates they fought was the move 40 years ago to unleaded gas. Imagine products with lead being bad for you? Ya think?

Even if you don't know the science, just the fact big oil and coal is against legitimizing climate change is a default reason to support efforts to recognize and deal with climate change.
