Hello Smile

From what I've gathered, only native speakers are allowed to teach in South Korea due to visa restrictions.
I was just wondering if there is a way for non-native speakers to teach here?

Thank you Smile

Hi, I guess you're talking about teaching English. You won't be able to get an E2 Visa to teach English if you don't come from an English speaking country but if you have a married visa there are ways to get into it legally. If you want to teach English but aren't a native speaker or married to a Korean, you'll have to go the illegal route.

Non native speakers who are citizens of and graduated high school or university at an English institution are also eligible.

Thanks Edwardcatflap, Coltronator for the feedback Smile

I did my university studies in Australia, but I suppose I still don't meet the visa requirements. I'll focus on different countries then. Thanks again Smile

They need 9 years of education in English from one of the "7" not just a BA.

The alternative is a PhD in a related subject and becoming a professor at a university (E1).
