Mark Blyth and Jimmy Dore are liberals who see through the main stream media's propaganda. Check them out on YouTube.

Russia's relation to this topic about the current Korean crisis I think mainly has to do with how much imminent jeopardy Trump senses from the Mueller investigation. Since he's obviously crazy (and guilty of obstructing justice) I think he'll resort to using nukes - even at the cost of horrendous collateral damage - to provide a massive distraction, dominate the news cycle - and declare martial law at home if necessary to keep his opponents at bay - the Constitution be damned. (And if he/we survive that and his removal from power becomes seriously threatened again, he'll bomb Iran, set up concentration camps and do whatever it takes to maintain his grand delusions...)

Russia says it's preparing for the outbreak of war on the Korean peninsula in he event that diplomatic efforts fail, but since the U.S. State Department has essentially been gutted - and Trump sees himself as a super tough guy - I don't think there's much chance of that ...

One prominent Republican Senator, Lindsay Graham, says it's time for families of military personnel stationed in South Korea to start moving out of there as "North Korea pushes the U.S. closer to a military conflict" (although Trump's provocative tweets haven't exactly helped pave the way to peace ...)

Absolutely, though do you really not agree that he's notable because he is an exception? I try to be diligent about keeping a range of news sources, and with, again, the exception of Greenwald's Intercept, not only does no other "Leftish" outlet push back against the Russian hysteria, but they all have seemingly done their damnedest to make sure images of the KGB are conjured whenever Trump's name is mentioned.

I think Scott just mentioned two other individuals that "push back against the Russian hysteria." That said, I really have a problem grasping exactly what you mean by vague terms such as "belligerent Left" or "Russian hysteria." I think I could understand how Glenn Greenwald would characterize it, because he has written a lot about it. Notably, Glenn Greenwald has avoided staking an ultimate position on the Mueller investigations. Is that included in "Russian hysteria?" Or is Russian hysteria merely all the crazy and implausible stories of Russian intervention "into our power supply?" It is hard to tell what you mean.

With reference to the Leftists you listed above, I only recognize Dean O and The Young Turks. I do not care about Dean O. The Young Turks does not display "Russian hysteria." They do cover revelations in the Mueller investigations. I think The Young Turks has covered the double-standard between Uranium One and the Mueller investigations quite well. Indeed, here is DailyKos blasting Cenk Uyger for being soft.

Quote:
The minimization of Russian influence on our elections by the Young Turks has been rather interesting, with journalists like Michael Tracey who pooh-poohs the impact of Russian interference in our elections. He decided to troll a bunch of protestors to trick them into downplaying Russia’s impact, but got completely owned by a woman who was far much more knowledgeable than he was.

The video of this is a MUST-SEE for anyone fighting back against Russia’s continued interference into our elections, as actually confirmed today in a live Senate intelligence hearing.

Quote:

I’d tell journalists like Michael Tracey, Cenk Uygur, and others on the far left to actually watch the Senate hearings that just happened [in March] that confirmed that Russian active measures are still going on

Quote:
It does us no favors at all when Russian interference into our elections is ignored or minimized by those on the far left because the people they serve need to know that they may be the target of continued active measures.

Cenk Uygur's has also minimized the Armenian Genocide ... and there is a lot more evidence to spur on the Mueller investigation then there is for a Uranium One investigation. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/14/us/politics/uranium-one-hillary-clinton.html

I think most liberals who doubt there was collusion with Russia by Trump's campaign do so on the grounds that no one in the Trump campaign seems bright enough to pull it off ...
