My waterpipes are freezing in Seoul. I need insulation wrap to keep my waterpipes from freezing and bursting in winter.
Where can I buy insulating wrap or tape for pipes in Seoul?
Thanks. BDB |

The prices look reasonable. A few dollars per piece of insulation.
I really would like to know the quality of the stuff. In the US, pipe insulation is given a R-rating -- higher the R, lower temperature ti still protects the pipes. I haven't seen any R-rating on these pipe insulations. But any insulation is better than towels or pillows (the present situation).

True. Pretty much NO insulation here. Do what you can. Any exposed pipes R gonna freeze, esp in january, in seoul. Anything exposed? Cover it. ESP outdoors. Keep the taps dripping. If u have tenants that choose to disagree, tell them it's their problem(problem there though is it may be your problem too if the boiler needs to be replaced). Also keep boiler on 'way-chul' or firing up every 4-5 hrs for safety. Water flow is SO important! |
