Hi!

I had a friend that worked for YBM ECC in Nowon and had a massive loft apartment as her housing. Does anyone have any other schools they've had nice big housing with in Seoul?

Run with it. Nowon is a cheaper area of the city, but it has come a long way in the past 10 years.

If the loft is an officitel, monthly fees can easily exceed 100-150,000 won. Still cheaper than paying rent, though, and you'll be in Seoul.

'Huge' in terms of a loft is probably 10-15 p'young (1 p'young - 3.3 sq/m). But if you don't have a lot of stuff, that's enough for one person to live quite comfortably.

Just be sure that the institute doesn't sell it out from under you. Several places buy property as investments, house their teachers there for a couple of years, then boot them and sell the place for a profit.

You can always get your own place. Use this app as a way to get an idea for prices in your area. But use the local Bu Dong San as some of these are fake ads (though many are real). https://www.dabangapp.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIlvLmwMq73AIVmLaWCh3buQgbEAAYASAAEgKQDfD_BwE
