I have a discman and a digital camera from Canada, both of them plug in to get charged. I brought an package of adapters with me, but they say they are only good for adapting the plug not the voltage, has anyone successfully used an adapter who can tell me where to get one?

I bought an adaptor at Yongsan Electronics market. Cost me all of 3,000 won. I am assuming that you want the voltage to go from 220 out of the wall to 110 for your camera and charger. Might want to explain what you want to a korean teacher and have them write it down for you. Then go to the market and ask around. Anything over 5,000 won and you are being ripped off. Also, the converter I got was for minimum watts and about 5 inches long by 3 inches wide by 3 inches high. The bigger converters are for higher watted things, like TVs and Microwaves. But the smaller one will do for you.
Good luck

I had one heck of an adventure trying to find one.

I'll give you the shorter version of the story: I went to a Home Plus with a Korean friend. We went into the electronics section, and she asked if they had 'em. The lazy-arse worker (there's about 10x too many employees at all Korean chain stores) said they didn't have 'em. I went back to do general shopping the next weekend, and wouldn't you know it... they had 'em, just in a different section. They employees were are BLOODY USELESS!

Anyway, they're not easy to find. I thought they'd be a small little attachment you'd put on the end of a plug. Nope. They're huge: about a cubic foot, and they weigh A FREAKING TON.

Enjoy. Very Happy

thanks for the info. guys! I did as you suggested and asked my Korean coworker to write down what I was looking for. Being the excessively kind person she is, she first called her father for advice, turns out he has one he's not using and is going to 'lend' it to me for my year here!
Cheers everyone!
