A former (Korean) co-worker of mine is getting married soon and I'm looking for ideas as to what a suitable wedding gift would be / what's the "done thing" etc.
I've run out of stuff from home to use as gifts except for one can of Guinness and she's not getting that...
Any tips much appreciated! |

Cash. Cash in an envelope, but nothing with a 4 in it. When a friend of mine was married last winter, the majority of people (including myself) gave cash.
Plus there were some bonus items at the after-wedding party like auctioning for the single bridemaids on who they would sit with during the evening. So bring extra cash. |

Yup.
Money in an envelope.
There'll be a table set up for the purpose of collecting it, and they'll be writing down who gave [and how much] in a fancy ledger.
Unless you owe her some big favours, 20-30 000W would be a good ballpark figure. |

Cash is right. I was told it should be an odd multiple of 10000 won notes. If youre close to this person & want to give an additional personal keepsake, no harm in that. |

Cash...
1 person custom is 30,000
a couple custom is 50,000
More if you feel like it. |
