Anrac 2 Dong is an entirely unremarkable neighborhood in that there is nothing either to reccommend about it or to diparage about it. It is as normal a neighborhood as exists in Korea. It is near a small train station, not too far from the subway line (3000 won taxi) and east of the subway line between Pusan National University and Pusan National University of Education, much closer to the latter. There is a Megamarket near the Dongnae subway station. Most younger expats (or Koreans for that matter) either spend their evenings in front of PNU or go to Seomyun, farther south. Nearby, onchonjang has an excellent public bath. |

Thanks RF and yodanole.
I liked the detail in your email, yodanole.
I may end up teaching in this area in August.
Peace,

You are most welcome. I lived in the adjacent Dong 2 years ago.
You will be within striking distance of most of what Pusan has to offer.
Striking distance, not walking distance. Not too bad a place to live.
That said, it looks like every other non-entertainment area you ever
saw here. Near the Anrac Rotary (1 block east thereof) is a small supermarket. On the 6th floor of the same bldg is (or was) an ice skating rink, if that's your cup of tea. |

Don't think so. Only skates.
Remember, they don't go in much for helmets here.
At least on motorcycles. Much less skating.
Oh, wait! Maybe for Olympic short track.
Hollywood action can be dangerous! |
