Does anyone know some good camping grounds in Korea- To take a few days away during the summer break... Preferably near water...

there is an small island near manisan: I have driven by it and was told that it is for camping swimming etc., looks absolutely fabulous I am hoping to check if out myself. I now the same of the island started with 's' and manisan is northwest of Seoul... |

You can camp right on any beach in Korea. But it might be difficult to find shower facilities. If you are lucky then you there might be a sauna nearby. I have also camped on trails to temples and in just about every national park in S.Korea. But my favorite place is down in Chollado. It is quite and clean and the food is great. Good Luck |

Check out this site for a list of National Parks. There are a few Marine parks and I believe at least some of them have swimming areas.

I'm hoping to do some camping during summer vacation but half the country is off at that time and I anticipate hords of people in the parks. Anyone have any experience with camping in a National Park in the last week of July when most companies take their breaks? |
