A foreign teacher at a neighboring high school in Bundang was taken away by police last night while working at his "second job." It was all the gossip in the teacher lunchroom. A former teacher from here works at that school and told my co-workers. Apparently he didn't show up for class today, and calls to him went unanswered. Then, about 10am, two education officers from Kyonngi showed up to speak with the principal of his school.

Rumor has it that his evening job was no normal job. He was working as a male hostess at a bar in Seoul, and it's thought that one of the parents spotted him there. Not sure where yet, but will give details as I hear more.

I'm sure we'll hear all about it in the news tonight, and I'm bracing for the impact of this here. Now they'll probably affix one of those tracker collars to my leg just so they know what I'm up to at night.

I wonder how much he charged for his privates??

Actually, I have heard of these bars for years. Often from curious Canadian girls. Wouldn't that be a riot, some girl from Moose Jaw going out on a girls' night in Seoul and finding her high school boyfriend playing stinky-pinky with some gold card ajumas?

Actually, they seem to be fairly prevalent in Japan, or so I've heard. But then again, Japan is very open about that side of their culture, whereas Korea has a lot of similar sexual underbellies as they do, but choose to deny its existence, and poorly at that.
