The basic urine ones are pretty straight-forward to use. Do the test in the morning, and if you're pregnant, a 2nd line on the test appears.
Go to any drugstore and ask for an "im-shin test-uh" (or "im-shin test-uh-ki"). They're 5,500w and very accurate. |

Be very careful here!! NORMALLY if a second line appears it means you ARE pregnant and if only one remains you're safe.
Once however I nearly had the worst 5 minutes of my life when I saw TWO lines. "Oh my God Mum, I'm pregnant...." Cue one wailing and histrionic female.
Until of course my (very calm and collected) Mother reread the instructions. 'If you are NOT pregnant there will be 2 lines. If you are pregnant one line will fade and there will only be ONE visible'.
To avoid getting the wrong result and a hell of an unwelcome shock. Best off you get English instructions or go to a clinic Honey. Some of the kits do work the reverse way round! |

The tests here may well be different. The line never faded, and she was in fact quite pregnant.
Some people even keep these tests and put them in their baby photo albums (kinda gross if you ask me). Positive results don't fade, at least on the tests here. |

Oh dear. My advice was a bit useless then in retrospect! |

The pregnancy test I used had 2nd line faded after a couple of minutes. My experience taught me being pregnant doesn't necessary mean having a baby in 9 months, though. |
