Has anyone had serious medical or dental work done in Thailand?
Some of us are considering going to get dental work done. I am interested on laser surgery on my eyes. I'm rather nervous about the surgery, but if it is as safe as in the States, I will get it done.
Any experiences? |

If you haven't done so already, consider posting your questions on the Thailand Forum of the Job Discussion Forum. I believe you will find it very helpful. |

If you go to Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, you will receive care equal to, actually better than, anything you'll get in the States. They have their own website in English at Bumrungrad.com. I saw a world class dematologist (have had some skin cancer in the past) received treatment and therapy for about 20 minutes form a MOHS specialist who trained in the USA - damage? Ten bucks US. Would have cost HUNDREDS in the USA.
Similar story with a gastroenterologist - US$7.
A female friend had a sonogram done - US$9 from an excellent, highly skilled gynocologist.
Also, on Phuket, Bankok Phuket Hospital is of good quality. But, if I was going to have surgery on my eyes, I'd go to Bumrungrad. |

Thanks for the feedback. I have checked out Thorn Tree. I would still love to hear from people with experiences to report. |
