I've met many people who think they have a Strad, not knowing about the many fakes around. I did not accuse you of lying. As you said,

Upon re-reading my previous reply, I regret that I wasn't more tactful.
I was fortunate to have played a Strad for 5 minutes when I was around 10 years old. I'll never forget it. It practically played itself! As I recall, my favs at time were 'Aura Lee' and 'Mary had a Litlle Lamb'.
Then my grandaddy gave me his fiddle. It's insured for $200 US.
You're right, I don't know who I'm talking to. All I know is that your id is Squaffy, you casually dropped in a comment about a Strad. I pointed out that it could be a fake and you got super defensive about it. |
