Seems like taking a considerable risk to scan my passport and then send it into the E-Unknown as a part of a job application.
Does anyone know if it is appropriate to cover the personal numbers on the passport before scanning and sending? |

If it's a major portal site like jobkorea.co.kr, I would since very Korean has to scan his/her ID, as well. But if its some shady site with no verifications, Hell no. You take a huge risk doing that. I would send my pic and that's about it- if they're serious, they'll ask you to bring it durinthe interview |

I've scanned and sent it as an email attachment to a prospective employer.
I wouldn't post it on the Internet however. |

All the new security stuff on the passport - keeps it from scanning well anyway. At least that was my experience. But, yeah, better to keep those things close to the chest until really needed - rather than broadcasting them anywhere/everywhere. |
