Those that support Bin Laden , Khomeni , Nasser or Saddam Hussein and the similar types are fascists. They all hate Bush. The far right , the far left and the combo of the two hate Bush.
Coincidence? Nah. |

Interesting article.
IMO, if the ID card thing had been introduced in, say, 2000, the opposition to it would probably have come from the Right. That 'mark of the beast' business. The Right has a long history of objection to national IDs.
But criticism of the system is now coming from the Left. In the current political situation, I can kind of see why.
Modern technology will eliminate the old idea of privacy. It's pretty much unavoidable. The task will be to implement it in a way that ensures minimal abuse and maximizes safety. I don't trust the current administration to do this. I do trust the moderate middle of America to reassert itself. That is also inevitable. (IMO) |

The US needs a national ID.
Other nations have them and no one calls them fascist. |
