Castro has his own prison in Guantanamo Bay, though it's being put to slightly different use than the American one.
To still be having this dictatorship in our backyard is really an embarassment. We should open up our Cuba policy, letting anyone who wants to go to Cuba or open a business there do so. One president after another keeps doing what a bunch of radicals in Miami want him to. |

I agree with you.
Castro was able to stay in power despite the best attempts of the US so he won in that way.
However Cuba was also involved in trying to spread communist revolution world wide. Castro failed in that . In that way the US won.
That is the final score.
Castro is a creep, but the embargo of Cuba is a waste of US diplomatic and strategic captial. The US would probably find that Cuba very willing to resolve many disputes including human rights issues in exchange for the US ending the embargo.
And Castro is going to die soon. |

The name of the game is "Florida 27 Electoral Votes". Cubans are the 3rd largest Spanish-speaking group in the US, most in Florida. In a country split pretty much 50-50, the Cuban exiles hold the upper hand in a key swing state. |
