Yummy. I'm jealous that you have an oven, I really really want an oven.

Where did you get the joint, they dont seem to sell many joints of any animal over here. Being the victims of throw everything in a pot and all. I'd like an oven a good bit of cow and maybe some venison.

Has anyone even seen venison in Korea.

What's the deal with expats bragging about what they cooked for dinner? That's like sooooo retarded.

PS - I watched 'The Lord of the Rings' tonight on my new plasma, wall-mounted TV. Gimme some 'spect. And some of those blueberry muffins if there're any left.

Go to any cow butcher shop...point to a chunk of beef that hasn't been cut into little slices yet, and say "Don't cut"

They'll look at you like you have two heads on your shoulders, they may even laugh a little, but they'll wrap it and you can take it home. The last one I bought was about 2 Kilos...and about 24,000 won...but man was it good. and yes, I made gravy and mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Next time I will attempt the yorkshire pudding mix that I got sent from home.

Venison is available in Korea.....pricey though if you can get it....it makes beef look cheap!

foolproof Yorkshire pudding recipe, gauranteed to work everytime.

In a cup/mug measuring device. Basically equal amounts.

1 mug of flour
1 mug of milk
1 mug of eggs

pinch of salt
add in nutmeg or pepper depending on your preference.

Preheat oven to 450F 300C
heat up deep muffin tins with a splash of oil in the bottom of each tin.

Mix ingredients together thoroughly, pour mixture into tins. Leave oven at high temp until pudding rises and browns. After turn oven down275F and let sit. Never open oven door while cooking.

Yorkshire pudding dessert, with a hot pudding open it up put in butter, cinnamon, lemon juice(a little) and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Wow.. grotto.. you can make a lot of yorkshire puddings with that amount of ingredients!!!!

My mum's foolproof ingredients..

4oz flour
1/2 pint of milk (or milk and water)
1 egg
a (good) pinch of salt

mix it all up in a blender (or liquidiser will work too).. leave it to stand for a good while.. the longer, the better. Whisk it up again on the highest setting for a minute. In the meantime, warm up a tin.. put oil (or lard if you have it) at the bottom. Pour the batter in the tin and cook for 30 minutes on about 260. Do NOT open the often when the puddings are cooking or they will come out flat.

I have a yorkshire pudding tin I brought over from England Very Happy

Bliss. My husband loves his roast beef dinner!

Breakfast today was bacon ( Corn King from South Dakota ), eggs, biscuits and grits. With drip coffee with cream. Breakfast is possibly the only thing that does not go better with soju.
