only those folks working at public/private elementary schools need reply (or those interested in such a job)...

i was offered a job at a school and the conditions were as follows:

5/6, forty minute classes a day mon.-fri.
actual hours at the school: 9:10-4:30
3 weeks paid vacation
2.5 salary and 300,000 housing allowance (i have own apt.)

i have 2 friends who work at private elementary schools. one gets 2.4 million and the other gets 2.6 million. no housing allowance, but, they get about 2 months paid vacation.

my question is, what is a typical/good salary (offer) at an elementary/middle/high school?

I work at a straightforward middle school:

4/5 45 minute classes, also, extra afternoon class(overtime paid)
22 class hours a week
8:50-4:30 office hours
6 weeks paid vacation
1.85 million(for the standard 22 classes a week), free apartment, also received a moving bonus towards fridge/pots and pans/bed/crap like that.

I also finish at 12:20 pm on Friday.

edit: Forgot to mention that I work in Cheonan, not glorious Seoul.

Seriously though... I just knew somone that was working at one and he told me about a job that was coming up... I guess most people usually pass the jobs onto their friends when they leave so they're aren't advertised much.

Yea, I've got one to pass on and that's exactly what I'm trying to do, but nobody wants to work in Hickvi--er, Cheonan.
