kia ora,
just a quick question, im gettn a lil low on cash an i still gotta do a visa run, im not broke but i dont wanna be either, and everytime i got out the koreans ive gone with insist on paying. what sort of money are we talkn for a decent nite out?, unfortunatley, im not one of those ppl that can go to a bar and 'just have a good time without getting drunk', im from new zealand so i got no choice in the matter really, anyways just a approximate figure would be cool.

| Mad Season and Blue Monkey have 3 drinks for 10,000 which is great, way cheaper than back home. I don't drink beer but I believe it's pretty cheap too. Seoul Train is dearer - have to pay 7000 for a spirit/mixer or cocktail. (This said c-ocktail but has been beeped dammit!) I'm sure the beer is pretty cheap there too though. I usually go out with about 50000 but never spend it all. |

| ah, the money draining power of booze, what it new? Anyways if you go out stone cold sober, and can pack away the stuff, then shots or c-ocktails will drop you down about 60,000. The same goes if you like imported beer. If you are out on a date, and she brings a friend and you party the whole night, boy, one can drop a small fortune. Korean draft beer kills me, (no joke) but if you can stomach it, then your costs could be as low a 20,000 which isn't really that much when you think about the Korean men throwing out a cool million or so in the room solons. |

Sorry to disappoint. You will be able to see some of the NRL games but not all of them. i.e. you'll be able to catch a Warriors game now and then but don't expect to see them all.
One good thing is that there is excellent coverage of the international rugby season and I've heard that the WorldCup 2003 will be covered too. YAY!
