That's me.
I like working in Korea because it is almost never boring and that I do not have to work conventional hours. |

Yes, philosophy grad.
Oh, I'd happily sell out for a boring job elsewhere if it paid enough. But my student loan was calling. |

edit: just so no-one thinks PHIL grads can't do the grammar or the spelling or the punctuation, could someone please take the typo out of the thread title? |

It's not so much a typo as a common gramatical error. The person who created this thread may well suffer from Apostrophe Surplus Syndrome.
The apostrophe is used to indicate possession or omitted letter(s). For example:
John's car = the car belonging to John
students' books = the books belonging to the students.
Isn't = is not, the apostrophe replaces the letter "o"
The apostrophe is not simply inserted whenever the letter "s" appears.
So, the cat's sat on the mat's is WRONG. But the cat's mother sat on the mats is right.
So, the title of this thread is poor english. Unless you wish to argue that in grad's, the apostrophe replaces "uate". But you don't have much of a case - grad is a recognise abbreviated word, so is grads and the apostrophe rarely replaces more than one letter that is traditionally swallowed anyway.
So there you have it - and I'm the apostrophe ninja! So don't mess with me.
An interesting possibility is created by Samoan names that include apostrophes. These apostrophes' significance might be in the fact they are pronunciation guides or something, I don't do foriegn punctuation. |

So, a single cat sat on several mats. Were they stacked mats? Or just a fat cat? |

Like I said, I'm the apostrophe ninja, not the spelling ninja. Besides, if I didn't make a deliberate mstake, the ironic effect of my affected pedantry would be affected.
My money's on stacked mats. Or the cat sat on several mats one after the other. English is notoriously vague. This phrase can be translated a suprisingly massive number of ways into French for example. |

did the philosophy thing, don't care about proper english though, too much analysis is done on english and language in general, screw that as long as I know what your sayin it's ok I have the imagination to figure out most of it, besides if it wasn't for bad english how would the american and canadien version of english have ever came about from that stuff they use on the islands? |
