Okay, there's a job floating around that my buddy asked me about last night. His contract is done and he's looking for a job. He told me about this job in Suwon, 2.0, e-m, single, no kindi. Sounds decent, but does anyone know any history behind it? My friend is leaving Korea tomorrow and needs to know asap.
thanks guys/gals. |

BCM-J sounds like a hogwon for elementary students. The BCM hogwan chain doesn't have such a wonderful reputation for working for but I can't remember anything bad coming up on the board about BCM at Suwon. They have their own text books that you are supposed to use so if your friend likes to teach his own way he'd need to check out if they will let him. Suwon city leaves a lot to be desired. It used to be very raceist as it was once a U.S. airforce base but nowadays the base has moved futher away from Suwon and the city has grown by leaps and bounds so things could be different. |

Could be? Suwon's nice if you don't wanna be stationed in Seoul. |

I worked a BCM in a suburb of Seoul. The pay and living conditions are not bad, BUT you will work a humdinger iof a split shift. 6:30 AM to
10 or 11 or 12 depending on the day of the week, with Free talking
adults. Then come back at 5:30 or 6 PM to teach childrwen until 9:45 PM. |

Stephen L, it sounds like he's just being hired for JCE, which means that he would not be working those hours. He'd be doing normal hours for teaching kids. Talk to some current teachers at the school. BCM's and JCE's can vary a lot. Many are crap, but I haven't personally heard anything bad about the Suwon franchise. |
