hi there
i'm planning to go to thailand at the end of july. have generally been quoted prices above 500k but have had a couple of responses to another message on davesesl giving this site http://www.geocities.com/punndari/thai.html
they charge 300k for a return. someone who gave me the address said though how they issue the tickets in thailand and this could prove a problem. i wondered if anyone had bought from here or anyone has any advice generally about the issue as i really dont want to mess up my trip

i tried the email addresses for that site, but couldn't get through.
you were quoted 'over five hundred thousand' for a ticket to bankok?
i made a reservation with 'top travel' in seoul. the current price for june is 700 thousand, but will go down about fifty thousand for July.
did you find a ticket for less? i'm going june 26, with return aug 3.

That is silly! This is the low season for tourism in Thailand because it's the rainy season. Just last week I was looking in the Korea Herald and all the travel companies were offering round-trips for under 350.

Maybe the price changed this week, if so, sorry!

Go check out the Herald for their ads.

I am arranging flights for 2 friends using that site on the 26th of July; meself, am considering heading over there for R&R on the 19th.

I'll keep you all posted - when I initially looked at the site, ther HTML coding was a mess, & NOTHING worked. Now, the main page seems to be 'set,' but most of the links still aren't working.

If it is a 45-day open ticket on Thai Air for 300k won, it's a steal.

Ok, I looked in the Herald yesterday:

250,000 for a round-trip ticket (not the package deal with a hotel)

Joy Travel
marco-polo travel

and a couple others I can't remember off the top of my head....

justagirl, they jack up the prices in July and August since those are peak travel times for Koreans. Those quotes you have are probably only good for the rest of June.

one other thing for those 250k airfares is that you have to have a group of 4 people going on the same itnerary to get the airfare. Thats what Unique told me and Blue Travel here in Gwangju told me

Sorry to say, but Mr. Walsh has amended his site (the one OP originally inquired about). . .

Quote:
Unfortunately, I can't issue any tickets from Seoul to Bangkok, but of course I can issue any ticket from Bangkok to any city in the world. As of now, my license is only for Thailand. In the near future, I hope to change that, so I can sell air tickets for a reasonable price from Seoul to Bangkok.

Back to the internet & papers . . .
