Just be thankful that you've finally reached the plateau level, now all you have to do is maintenance |
But I am looking to add an additional 10 lbs. The reason has nothing to do with vanity (like some dude said earlier who mentioned something about muscle obsession and looking like a model ) but athletics. In two months time I'll be back on the blades playing hockey and I have always performed my best at around 220. For some reason I cannot break past 210....simple enough. |
Check out www.wannabebig.com
A very useful site with tonnes of knowledgeable people willing to give out info. |

i paid 70 000 won for a 3 month membership, im not really a serious weightlifter, i just do basic total body workouts like squats bp bi's tri's etc, so the facilities for me are pretty much the same as home, so if you need more specialised equipment i dont know, good luck anyways. |

Supplements are generally worse than not exercising at all.. Take that to the bank. |
Possibly the most useless and most uninformed comment I've heard on this board. Can you elaborate on this or are you just pulling this outta your a$$? |

I'm not sure about anthing besides protein powder, but here is a post I made a month or two ago...
Went to Soong Rae Moon underground Import Market in Namdaemun Market today and bought some protein. The guy is very helpful. His name is Park Bong Chull.
Here is a sample of thing he has...
ProLab Whey 5lb container W48,000
EAS Whey 5lb container W48,000
EAS Myoplex 42 packets W105,000
EAS Myoplex Delux 36 packets W105,000
Meso-Tech 14 packets W50,000
Meso-Tech Bar W3,500
TwinLab Gainers Fuel 1000 W35,000
ProLab Creatine Powder 600g W30,000
Weider Creatine Capsuls 150caps W20,000
ProLabGlutamine Powder 400g W33,000
GNC Glutamine W65,000
EAS Betagen 198g W40,000
EAS PhosphagenHP 2lbs W28,000
He's got much more. Not sure what all the above stuff is exactly, but if you're reading this you may. Heck, the guy even had competition sun tanning paint (No thanks!).
Anyway, the HOURS are: M-F 6am - 7pm; Sat. 8:30 - 7pm; closed on Sunday. Good luck to you! |

i just went there today...his prices went down...I got the protein, creatine and he had ripped fuel all for 95,000...it actually came to 101,000 and I offered him 80,000 but you just can't get him to budge on the price too much...he knows there's no open market competition for the supplements, unless you want to pay 70,000 for creatine at your gym. 95,000 was a blessing. |

It's a fat burner, but most people use it for the energy it gives you while you work out. It's pretty much the same as Meta Cuts, Hydroxy Cuts, Thermadrines and the very popular Xenadrine...the stuff that came under fire because it contained Ephedrine (Baltimore Orioles player died this spring training taking it) It's worth getting for sure. Always boosts my workouts. It kinda combats the effects of creatine because it makes you sweat a lot while creatine makes you retain water, but it's a good thing to have. I think Creatine, protein, and an energy booster is all you need in terms of supplements. Glutamine capsules are good, but it's usually found in any protein you take.
Getting back to the guy who said that supplements are useless...for me, personally, I've worked out for the past 6 years, both on and off supplements, and I've made much bigger gains when taking them. Protein, for sure, is a must. |

What's your gym like? I'm paying a measly 33won per month for mine, but the trade off is that it basically consists of a crappy bench, lat pull-down, peck-deck, and a leg push (Sorry I don't know what thats actually called).
No free weights past 16kg. 4 treadmills that are usually busy, and racquet ball courts that I don't want to pay for...
Basically, I'm still getting fatter |

I joined a new very large gym near Kangnam Station. It has everything, including an English speaking trainer. It is a little expensive, but worth it for the luxuries included (and it's in Kangnam where everything costs more) If you want info, PM me. |

Here's a question for research purposes.
Say a fairly muscled guy, who may or may not be on the juice, stopped working out and just generally lived a fairly active life. How long until he "deflated"? |

"May or may not be on the juice" is the equivalent to a cold sore on your lip vs. herpes on your beanbag. If you're juiced and you quit lifting your body will quickly morph into a version of my aunt Melinda - droopy man boobies - active life or not. Not juiced, it all depends on your calorie intake and more importantly your physiology. I have known fit guys who after a month of sitting around look like Dom Deluise, and others who can retain their cut physique doing light maintenance workouts twice a week. |
