Is there one?

Im teaching english in Brazil and plan on doing the same in Korea next. There seems to be a million jobs posted now but does it dry up during other months?

As long as there are gullible parents and others willing to shell out the won,and as long as there are greedy hakwon owners willing to"reap the rewards" Laughing of a desire for English instruction that sometimes verges on an obsession, the hakwons will be going full blast. In other words, forever.
Thereis no"hiring season' as such and there is certainly no "dry season".One of the main problems is that there are too MANY hakwons, especially in places like Seoul.
If you want to get a "job" at a hakwon...never fear, there are always ones available. What you should fear is...what may happen AFTER you accept the "job"> Rolling Eyes

it does actually fluctuate, a lot. i looked for a job when they had just discovered the North had nukes- the economy was shaky and there were few offers. A year earlier the same add attracted over 80 offers within a week.
Peak season of course is in the run-up to the new year (Jan, feb). I reckon theres another secondary high a month afterwards as all the newbie grads do runners, unable to stick it.
Theres a tertiary high in about July, as those unable to stick out longer than 6 months run because they have a 6 month clause.
