|
|
Only been here for a while but know so many illegal teachers who are
making between 4 and 5 million a month while the legal teachers are
making 2 or 2.2 million.... and from all accounts the chances of getting
caught are so slim and IF you did get caught pay a fine and go home ...
doesnt such a fact, eat you guys up.... |

First, teaching privates is ILLEGAL.Second, people DO get caught.Perhaps not often, but do you want to chance it?
Another ingenuous newbie, dazzled by all the "big"bucks(won) some BS artists claim to be making.I am waiting for someone to claim he is making ten, fifteen,or even twenty mill a month. The sky is the limit! Oh,sure!Really, there is no limit to the BS.
Besides, like the others say,why not teach legally and then you do not have to worry about being busted by immigration? |

At best, privates should be considered as supplementary income, to bring you up to par with your Korean counterparts. Teaching only privates is not advisable, for reasons ad nauseum already printed on this board. Do a quick search. |

Read the OP again and you'll catch the strong stench of "people who don't do privates are suckers!!" This is not a new argument. Perhaps it's better deployed at the waeguk pubs. |

I'm not massively up on the powers that Immigration have, but I think that if they're suitably suspicious about your activities, and have knowledge (shouldn't be hard) that you're sending all this illegal money out of the country, or planning to take it with you, they can freeze your bank account and you won't see a penny of it.
You'll have a deportation record that will be shared with many other countries (and will make it difficult for you to get entry visas to other places), a hefty fine AND an expensive plane ticket home to fork out, plus possibly no money to show for it.
Worth it? I don't think so... |

Would you consider working illegally in your home country?
(and yes, there are plenty of ways to do it...) |

It wasn't a "point", it was a question.
And you didn't answer it.
So I'll ask again... Would you consider working illegally in your home country? |

Probably not , but Korean law concerning privates does not have a lot of moral authority. You can get in trouble but no one needs to feel they did the wrong thing. |

Moral authority?????? Noone needs to feel they did the wrong thing??
So its OK to break the law as long as you don't think the law is right? |
