I'm doing a bit of research...
Can some of you guys work part time legally?
If so, would 1.2 Mil for 2 hrs a day, Mon. through Fri. be considered as good terms?

Do you already have a visa - E2 or other... Do you currently have sponsorship from a school?

It's not about me, I am thinking about maybe opening a school in the Pundang area, so I want to see if I can recruit a legal teacher part time and if teachers would be interested by such conditions...

I don't think there are any specific hours an employ is required to work to get an E2 visa - I think that's up to the sponsor. I think it would be between the employer and employee. I'd post it over at the immigation website ... (though they'll probably tell you to come and look here for the answer Rolling Eyes ). Here's a link for you http://www.moj.go.kr/immi/08_english/01_introduction/civil_f.html

You know, it's something that I've assumed for many years but I never really checked.

I'd love to hear what you find out though. Idea

Are you saying you would provide a work visa for a part time teacher? Or are you trying to get a teacher who's already working in Korea to work for you as well part time (and probably illegally)?

If you provided a work visa and allowed the teacher to contract himself out at other locations I'd say this is a good deal. If you also provided housing, this would be an amazing deal.

Yah, the average 6 hours would turn to 3.6. Not bad at all.
