Not that it matters much with something like Yahoo, but posting inline images to a BBS like this, images that are hosted on a server you do not own, is considered by many to be bandwidth theft.
When I find people stealing my bandwidth from my server, I generally replace the image in question with gay porn, which may lead to some embarrassment on their part.
Just sayin'. |

This is true. And it's why whenever I post images I do so from my own server, which is a lame Celeron 333 but does a good job at serving up half the avatars on this site. The bandwidth demands aren't all that great. |

A couple months ago when I raised the issue to bandwidth theft in a thread where people were posting pictures hosted on other servers, you came down squarely in the camp of people saying it was perfectly acceptable. Just saying... |

For those that don't have server space, photoisland.com provides free image hosting. Use the 'Link for auction' on the bottom left hand side of a detail-view for an image in a gallery to get the URL, which is good for three months per image, I believe. |
