just thought this was a funny story to share with everyone. i have a room mate (who is not the kindest nor the smartest person but nonetheless tolerable). anyway, down here in kwangju it has been raining a lot lately. i came home after a weekend away to find his clean clothes on the line outside drying in the pouring rain...AGAIN. this is not the first time this has happened, it's the fourth! i think i need to buy him a clothes rack or something. just thought that i would share in a funny story... |

I am one of these people who made stupid mistakes over and over again. I left my wallet over at grand's place tonight. And this is not the first time I've done it. I am so lucky that I haven't lost my wallet, though. Knock on wood. |

If your roomie was taking a shower with his clothes on, that could be a sign.

i shouldn't have been so judgemental to say that he is not the kindest or the smartest man but he's one of those people who i just don't get along with. please don't take this as i am a judgemental person, i should take that comment back. he's not that bad of a guy, i'm sure. just not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
finding a clothes rack in korea is one of the easiest things one can ever do. i'm sure he goes to the grocery store to buy food and they are available there if no where else. |

With this humid weather, does anybody else have problems with laundry not drying? My towels smell bad after hanging for a week to dry and I don't bother washing jeans anymore. Any advice on how to dry laundry? |

maybe culture shock. do you have a voltage meter? to make him feel more at home you might advise him to sing his country's national anthem in the morning. canada's (i'm canadian) is 'fly by night', by rush |

Well, on our side of Gwangju we don't have a covered balcony or anything and a few times I have put the clothes out to dry, and laid down to take a nap, only to be awakened by the pouring rain. At which point there was really no point in bringing the sodden clothes in.
My sweet roommate did ask if we needed to wash the clothes again because of the acid rain. (I do plan to wash them within the next week or two but after wearing them.) |

The correct method for drying clothing in Korea is to purchase a deluxe model 9 rack with the expandable umbrella, Complete with sensors and cables, Wind Direction and 8 LEDs and Wind Speed Dial included is a fabreeze air freshner mist spray. Now - When the Barometric Pressure Dial reads "acid rain" or "fan death imminent" or "Danger Will Robinson!" the umbrellas shoot up, the wipers kick in and the clothes stay dry.
120,000 won at your local Shi-Jang, tell them Imbroglio sent you.
