SHop around. I came here on a 6 month contract and then extended it. If you are here in Korea than the employer would save money so you should be able to find somewhere decent. I am getting the run around though now so don't listen to me. Good luck on your search! If you want a number for a good recruiter send me an email. They back me up 100% and they weren't even my recruiter's. Great people.

A lot of people want only 11 month contracts. An 11 month contract would allow me to use my return airfare ticket (I bought my ticket indepandantly of my plans to teach). If I do teach at a hogwon, I will ask for an 11 month contract.

OK..11 months is great but if you can stay 2 more weeks and get 2.0 mil more why not? And if you only come here, teach the 11 months, and than leave...well if you are American than you are going to have to pay taxes. So make sure you stay here for a full 330 days total to be exempt.

That doesn't really make a lot of sense. If you stay a whole year and get a severance bonus, you can use it to buy a one-way ticket home and still have well over $1000 US to spare.
