I have to leave Korea and am unable to get my key money back from my landlord. I live in Itaewon up the hill from the Three Alley Pub. It's a two bedroom apartment, and the neighbours are great. The apartment is clean and in good condition. I'll throw in the fridge and washer if needed. The key money is 2 million and rent is 550,000 a month. I'm leave June 9th. If anyone is interested in taking the apartment, it would be a GREAT help to me as I could get my key money back.

Thanks.

Hi everyone .... actually, I feel compelled to reply after that last post because the OP is my downstairs neighbour ...

The landlords for this building are good. The OP's personal circumstances (getting seriously jerked around [letter of release refused etc.] by her employer) led her to make an extremely quick decision to get out of Korea.

Of course, she has tried to get her key money back but she knew that wasn't a realistic thing to expect. In her shoes I would have done the same ... asking never hurts ... but the fact that she isn't getting it back shouldn't reflect badly on the landlords as she really only gave them a week's notice.

this is a good apartment ... for one person it's super-big, but it would also suit a couple or two friends. Quiet building, only one apartment per floor so windows on all sides and lots of light.

Take it if you're looking for a good place in Itaewon.
