Personally I'd say 4-5 days to do both Beijing AND Xian isn't enough time. I'd stick to one or the other. Both are very very interesting but I think only spending 2 days in each won't do either of them any justice whatsoever. I dread to think how jampacked the itinerary is even if you just stick to both cities' greatest hits. |

I went over Chusok a couple of years ago and it was good. The only thing that we didn't like was that they took us to 3 or 4 Korean restaurants because we used a Korean travel agent/tour and they thought we were Korean and would have to have Korean food at least every other day, if not once a day...bummer. The Chinese food was MUCH better!
The Beijing tour was great--4 days 3 nights will get you to all the major things. If you have enough people to form your own group (10??) then you have a bit more control over where you go/how long you stay. You can let your tour guide know you'd like to stay 4 hours at the Great Wall or something. If you have only 2 or 3, you'll be stuck in with a bunch of other people, with no flexibility in the schedule.
Check in advance to make sure there will be an English speaking tour-guide. Have fun. |
