I'm trying to organise some cheap, hopefully clean accomodation for Friday (tomorrow) I'd appreciate some reccomendations. I already found out the youth hostel near Bulguksa is fully booked. I need to find somewhere fast! |

there are lots of yeogwons and cheap places near the bus station. Just walk up a block or two from the bus station, take a left and go up a small street. I think you can get a room for around 20,000 won. The place I stayed at (listed in LP guide) was under 20,000 but it was pretty dumpy. Was popular though and had a international crowd: a couple danish people, 2 japanese chicks, and a couple other english teachers on vacation.
Since I don't have the LP guide with me and its been 2 years, I don't remember the name of the place. Its on a street corner across the street from a market. 5-10 minute walk from the bus station. Not the best description, but that's all I can come up with, sorry.
Anyway, don't worry about accomodation, Kyoungju is the tourist mecca of Korea, plenty of choices. |

I just stayed at the Romance yogwan last weekend. It's big white, brand new building near the bus station, It was 60,000 won for a room with 2 beds (1 double, 1 single sized), air purifier, water purifier, water softner in the bathroom, jacuzzi tub, fridge, big TV, hard wood floors, and adult toy shop on the 2nd floor (NO JOKE!). |
