I would have thought a multiple choice question format including seductive and addictive.

Yes, you're quite tasty, with a nice kick, no jitters, and you keep me up and grooving. But you don't post often enough for me to get hooked you. probably a good thing. Got enough problems already. |

i certainly use deductive thinking when writing a paper. Once i've used inductivce thinking to come up with a thesis, I use deductive thinking to prove that thesis. If that makes any sense. |

both modes of thinking have their uses from time to time. i try to believe as little as possible - that is i try to question everything i am told, and the things i think know - - so i reckon i lean heavily towards the inductive. deduction then is a tool - a means to an end when something in the world has to be worked upon... |

Everybody is deductive, but a lttle bit inductive. I would love to meet somebody who is toaly inductive, especially if she's beautiful. |

Just so you know, the true scientific ,ethod is inductive. You must analyse data without having a preconception of what you will find. Otherwise your bias will affect your method. A clever person can find anything they want with any set of data, but it's not science. To be inductive means to not have preconceptions about how things are, but to ask questions, and seek to answer those questions. An inductive person is more likely to be will to change a position when encountering new data. A deductive person already "knows" the answer, and will seek to reinterpret the new data so as to confirm what s/he already "knows" to be true. |
