Hmmmmm....

No one has said Bo Shin Tang. While not my favorite, it would be in my top five.

Dog meat soup? Seriously? Most of my adult students say they don't eat it, and two said they had some sort of allergic reaction to it. Two of my fellow teachers say they've never had it and the one teacher who has had it said it's like ginseng: It's eaten more for health reasons than anything.

I vote for duk-galbi for its slightly sweet chicken taste.

I like-uh Dak-galbi.

I like-uh Tangsu-mandu.

I like-uh Sogogi-dahlo.

I think Nangmyeon and cow blood soup are so-so.

Sogogi-dahlo is where you get a bowl of cabbage and sprouts in a hot broth with some strips of beef in it. Rice is served on the side, but many people dump the rice into the broth.

I've also seen it called sogogi guksubap or something. Might just be a Daegu thing. I had it at one place where their sogogi tasted like corned beef. Mashiss-eye-ooooooh!

that sounds a lot like sogogi gom tang. you are right chronic, maybe its called something else in Daegu.

My favourites are dol-saut bi bim bap and jap chae

I have no idea how to write these in English (or in Korean for that matter) forgive the spelling.

Kalbi isn't too bad either, or kim bap though that depends on what's inside.

denjang, go through the stuff by the bowl (especially the better tasting ones that are always more orange for some reason).

I have a few off the top of my head:

Raw Fish (saeng-sun hwae) is at the top, especially with loads of makjang on top (even better than soy sauce w/wasabe)

Spicy Cuttlefish w/rice and veggies (Nakjipokum) is always great

Kalbi is great, though I find bulgogi a little mushy and bland

In summer Cold spicy noodles (bi-bim-nyun) is great

I'm not one for soups of any kind, but Beef stock soup (Sul-lang Tang) is an exception to the rule

Boshintang is overrated. Tastes bland.

My favorite Korean food would be Pizza- with corn.

Cold buckwheat noodles in the summer.

Those cinamonny hotdduk? thingos from the side of the st in winter rocks.

Samgaetung in summer- I'm totally with the koreans here I believe it is a tonic.

Disagree with those guys that don't rate boshingtang, I get it from a place that has heaps of odd mountain herbs & veges served in the soup, tastes like wild pig at home.

Mandu Guk any time, but esp. in the AM

Dwaenjang Jigae is definately the best food I've ever come across. A good pot of that beats anything hands down for me. Mmmmm, oh-so-healthy too.

Sogogi Galbi Sal! Like the barbecue in Korea I never had.

I love eating Yuke. I�m not sure of the Korean spelling. (Yuke) is the Japanese spelling. Marinated raw beef with egg on top.
