The Japanese carriers are the answer and they are what you seek. But they come with a price, and that price is a lot more than what everyone else charges. |
Yea Right!!! If you are looking for a flight with almost nothing in English and an attendant who comes around every six hours, Japanese airlines are for you. And... you will pay triple the normal airfare.
If you understand Japanese culture and people, this is easy to understand. Japanese airlines are specifically set up to make Japanese people comfortable. |

I've only flown singapore once and it was horrible. Cramped for 17 hours on a plane is not cool. The drinks trolley never comes around. The only good thing is the entertainment (No being force fed some junky movie).
BA gets a mention because they gave me a free bottle of smirnoff.
South african airways flys some old planes but they are so old they're pre cattle class and you'll have to lean forward to eat dinner.
However I'm qantas girl because they have never had a fatalilty.

I have no idea. I don't fly on them as I think I've only flown domestically in australia 3 times, but always the main trunk line. And the New Zealand service has only been around for a year.

I agree with the post about attractive women on Korean Air. Nothing is more attractive than having a stewardess direct you to a more comfortable seat to stretch your long legs, hand you an English newspaper to read at your leisure, offer free beverages and ask inquiring questions at regular intervals, and smile all the while. I was so enamoured (hammered?) that I took their photos only to discover how average they looked on the ground, days later.
Compare that with Air Canada, whose stewardesses eyed my suspiciously throughout the inflight movie for inching into an unauthorized empty seat. Now I hear you have to pay for meals on the airline. Now that IS doing a service |

You'll get a cheap flight if you connect thru singapore (on sing. air). I used to fly them exclusively (food/service/entertainment is great) until I flew in the 777 (United). WHAT AN AIRCRAFT! |
I'm a big fan of the triple-7 as well. I just got my e-ticket for this Sunday's flight back to Korea - United 777 the whole way! Aisle seats too. Now, which special meal to choose....? |
