i got some thing sent to me about 6-7 months ago (from NJ) and it took about a week.
my dad just packed a box for me and took it to the post office on NYE and they said it would be here by the january 7th. i'm following it online with the tracking number and it left the country a few hours ago. things usually take a day or 2 to clear customs from what i've seen.
in terms of cost, we usually go with express mail. my friend sent me my ps3 along with 2 games and th4e shipping on it was around $60-70. i didn't have to pay taxes on it. before that my grandma sent me a package packed full of mosquito repellent, the tag on it said around $50 and i didn't have to pay anything on it again.
just make sure you have it insured at less than $150 and you should be fine. |

Thinking about having a new iPhone 4S sent over. Would I have any problems since it is not out yet in Korea? Also would I be ok if I just say its used and the price is below $150. I think the risk of it getting banged up or stolen is fairly low so I'm not that worried about that. |

Hi,
my parents are sending me a camera for xmas and the value is $450 Can. I'm wondering what I should be prepared for with customs.. am I going to be charged a ton? Can this be avoided? I don't think I'd want to declare the value at under $150 in case something happens.. any suggestions? |

Can anyone from the UK recommend a company to use to send a box over? was going to ship it by boat so that I post it before I leave, and also cos its cheaper. Dont want to use Royal mail cos the tend to loose things and charge by weight. |

Ok in case anyone else in England wants to ship anything the cheapest one I have found so far is www. paisley freight .com a 5kg box is only 65 if you ship by boat (6-8 weeks) which better than some of the other places I found that want to charge 200 for the same. Make sure you click the international quote button though not large/bulky (duh) |
