I just spotted a used furniture store in the process of opening about 100m from Sookmyung Women's University subway station and about 400m from Seoul Station.
From Seoul Station take side exit (exit by interior big wheel fountain,) walk down road in direction of Sookmyung Station, and it's part way down opposite the BMW dealership. |

I've been warned I'll need an air conditioner this summer in order to drown out the noise where I am (over restaurant on restaurant row apts)...
What's the going price for SMALl used AC? I saw about 400,000 W in local used place - seemed awfully high. Thinking I might try used tall fan instead, but dunno where to l ook for one.
I'm in Pochon (north of Seoul - actually just north of Ujeungbu) in case anyone has suggestions for places to scout in this area....
Thanks...

take exit number 10 of the Samgakji station, walk straight (passing the bus station) for about one block and on the left, before Camp Kim, you will see the second hand store. |

Does anyone know if there are second hand stores in Suwon? It seems like all the ones that have been mentioned in this thread are in Seoul and the surrounding suburbs, does anyone know of stores outside the Seoul metro area? |

Just to warn you, the Beautiful Store is crap. A lot of clothes and Korean books, not much else. But if you buy any of their crap, they give the profits to charity, so that's something. |

there are a number of shops and they vary in stuff quality and price. My wife picks up decent stuff all the time to the envy of her friends. But then she's that kind of chick... shop around... |

Does anybody know of second-hand stores in the Itaewon area? I was told of one briefly but I have had a hard time tracking it down. Thanks! |

It's not quite like a secondhand store back home, but it's better than nothing, or what used to be available in Korea.
I've gotten quite a few nice wool sweaters this winter, W4,000 each. Also children's books in English and in Korean (for my own language study.)
I also scored a lot of nice old cassette tapes, both Korean and American artists. W500 each. And toiletries at a third the crazy high retail price. |
