Perhaps its easier to apply sticking plaster by telling teachers to use a remote "problem solving' website.
My former korean hogwon bosses were more interested in making problems than solving them, and dialogue was virtually out of the question. Thus its hard to picture them bowing to the edicts of anonymous foreigners on the internet..
To make a better suggestion: why not have a blacklist of schools on here? that would be a lot more helpful. |
The idea of having a mediation service to resolve disputes, is a nice idea....in a beard-stroking-hippie kind of a way, but unfortunately only works in theory. Taking into account the service's lack of legal power regarding disputes, it isn't going to really cut it with those stubborn and ruthless School owners out there.

Heh, stop bashing schools.
I laughed out loud when I saw this thread.
I worked in Korea from 2001-2009. I've seen it all. Every scam and scheme you can think of. I've had so much money stolen from me and been screwed over in so many ways it would make your head spin. Believe it: governments don't issue warnings about teaching in certain places for nothing.
Granted, I finally ended up at a decent job but I went through hell to get there. I love the post above which reads 'I've heard nothing but great things about teaching in Korea.' Looooool.... |
