Oh my. They take it to beautiful extremes. I never seen such intricate large light displays. I thought the one I seen on the Lotte store in Changwon was incredible, those in Seoul as pictured are phenomenal. I will have to take some pictures of the light displays I see during the next 2 weeks, because they are really awesomely done.

when you take photos of xmas lights at night, obviously the flash can't go off...do you slow down the ISO speed (I don't know what I'm talking about Smile ) or just take a photo w/no flash?

If you don't know the picture I'l lassume you don't know where the Cheongyechon is. The best way to get there is get off at City hall station and walk west towards the Blue House / Kyobo.

I got to Cheonggyechun from Dongdaemun Stadium (that's where that pyramid of light is) and walked up the stream to City Hall. Last year, all the trees that line it had lights, too. I need to go again on a weeknight. Too many people there last night.

I took it without the flash. If you use flash at night for a shot like the ones posted, the picture will turn out dark. I know through trial and error

Flakfizer that is really cool photo sequence at Shinsegae. Korea sure does Christmas in a very elaborate way when it comes to lights. I going to go downtown in my city tonight and take pictures.

Their Christmas cards of among the most beautiful I ever seen. My relatives could not believe the painstakingly handcrafted detail in the cards I sent them.
