I've seen a few posts about people wanting to donate old clothes and items, but not knowing where to do so. There was an article in the Sat/Sun JoongAng Daily about a flea market to be held on Nov. 8 & 9, run by an organization called "A Beautiful Store". They re-sell used goods and apparel to needy individuals and those interested in saving money (me!). They have a number you can call if you want to donate, and they will pick up! (02-730-1014/5) 'English Spoken'.

Any idea where the flea market will be? Too bad they didn't put it on before halloween, would have been a good place to find a costume

The sale is organizaed by "A Beautiful Store"

The sale will be at Seoul's Olympic Stadium on Nov. 8th and 9th. Selling hours will be from 10am - 5 pm. each day.

Booths will be run by individuals or families. Commercial vendors are not allowed, but small business with financial trouble can participate as long as they sell their goods lower than retail cost.

About 1,000 booths will be spread on the grass field and track.

Proceeds will go to folks that don't receive sufficient financial help from the government.

You can take your donations to any of their 8 outlets on Seoul: Seocho District, Anguk-Dong, Sindaebang-DOng, Hongik University and Ansan in Gyeonggi. Call 02-730-1014/5 for them to come pick somthing up or to ask more questions (Volunteer, donating, attending...English spoken)
