Filipinos and Pakistani teachers can do the job IF they have been exposed to speaking English in a native environment. We had many Filipino teachers at my school in Thailand and their English was marginal at best. The only ones who were halfway good were those ladies who had Western husbands.

You're one of the creepy ones.

I'm not gonna bother digging up that piece of crap article you wrote, but that was one of the creepiest things I've ever read.

I was going to say that putting an article up that has been written by Schertzer is like putting your cock in a meat grinder, but...

I'm looking forward to the day when simply having blond hair and blue eyes and English as your mother-tongue is not near good enough to land anyone a TEFL job anywhere in the world. Students everywhere deserve much better than that.

Pssst Steve, stop knocking a good thing.... Cool

I just found out another guy I know is going to korea too! Man, we live in interesting times....particuallry well-paying times...

from the article:
Quote:
Excuse me while I open a window and take a good whiff of Western hypocrisy and not so veiled racism.

That's pretty funny, because the author of the retarded article doesn't have to open the window to smell hypocrisy and racism. He's reeking of it and dripping it all over his keyboard as he types up the thing. He rants again and again about blonde-haired blue-eyed teachers and then advises that people hire 3 filipino English teachers for the price of one westerner. Paying people based on their race and not on their skillset or the market average is... guess what... racist!

Mr Schertzer, will you confirm or deny whether you were terminated from AUA Language Center, 179 Rajadamri Road, Lumpini, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330, for discussing your affairs with bar girls with your students and general incompetence?

Damn....then again, after seeing how well Korea handles Korean Labor Unions, maybe it isn't such a good idea:

I know some teachers in Thailand.

I wonder if Mr Schertzer would mind if we were to contact AUA asking for a reference, and how their reference might compare with the image Mr Schertzer presents of himself on his blog.

^ Post the query on Ajarn.com.

Interesting that he lumps South Africans in with Filipinos and Pakistanis.
