Hello~
To make a long story short~my friend is working in a bad working environment. She wants to give her resignation, and is even worried she will be encouraged to do so. Which would be great I think. Anyways, I'm worried about her getting a LOR (even though of course she will give proper notice, and hopefully , with the hakwon's blessing),
She told me they haven't been paying her pension, and I've read somewhere? a teacher can file an official complaint about non=payment, but do not have the info for: where to file the non=payment of pension. Anyone know? Her hakwon is near Jamsil station in Seoul.
And, I've also read that once an official complaint of a serious issue , such as non-payment, has been filed., After 1 month, the need for the LOR can be waived.
Anyone know about this???

How long has she been there?

She can complain to the pension office. You can find addresses online.

I recommend going with someone fluent in Korean (if she isn't fluent herself).

The Pension office won't do much other than tell the boss to pay up. They will only take action after a long time of not contributing or when the employee no longer works there. The boss can pay late and the pension office will be just as happy. First though, your friend will have to pay her part or prove that deductions for it were already made by the boss.

The pension office can't help you to get a visa transfer. Only the Labor Board can help with that but they don't deal with pension.
