Hi,

Can anybody tell me about Han Can recruiters?

Are they really as good as they sound, or are they like every other "too good to be true" recruiter?

Thanks

If you bring that Busan flag to Anyang stadium I am going to set it alight!

Recruiters are a sticky business. Are you in Korea? I have been through B&B recruiters from Busan and thought they were good along with my colleagues but other people have absolutely slagged them. It depends on luck really. maybe they will put you in a good job, maybe they will put you in a crappy job.

It's 75% based on luck and 25% based on their integrity.

Icons,

I'm not really looking at any other recuiters. I sifted through a few and Han Can was the only one I encountered that SEEMS credible.

I guess it all depends if I'm lucky or not.

There's a good half-dozen recruiters that work solely for Canucks going to Korea....

Hi,

My name is Lonnie Edge and I own Han Can Connections. I regularly check these boards for dirt on schools that want me to recruit teachers for them and I came across a post about my company. I would like to explain something about my company.

There are alot of recruiters in Korea. There were lots when I started and there are even more now. A lot of them are shifty, hence the bad reputation of recruiters. I was burned myself. That was when I had the idea to start my business. I believed that if there was a company that people could trust and had a good reputation among teachers, then the shifty recruiters could not compete (At least not without changing their methods. My competition is not the shifty recruiters, but the few good ones out there. Although I try to form business relationships with those that are willing.(We have a common enemy. Twisted Evil )

Honestly, my business depends on it's reputation. Good recruiters know that a good reputation goes a long ways so I'm not shy about saying that my company's is good (At least with the few who have heard of it Wink ) The reason for this is that I do my best to not make mistakes and damage it. It only takes on bad review to put me in the same category as other recruiters and take away my competitive edge. So I do my best to be thorough when I check schools and teachers.

Am I perfect? No, of course not (Nobody is). Crying or Very sad I know that sometime in the future (hopefully not in the near future Embarassed ) it is possible that I could fail to weed out a bad school or bad teacher but it will not be for lack of effort. I can't promise to be perfect but I do promise to do my best. I think that is all we can expect from ourselves and others.

So to end my rambling, thank you for checking into my company. It gives me the opportunity to explain what I'm trying to do. (And the publicity doesn't hurt either! Laughing ) Everyone should make sure they check things out before they commit to something like teaching in a foreign country. A smart buyer always looks the horse in the mouth.(A little rural Alberta wisodom for you Cool

Lonnie
