Airports usually have the worst exchange rate possible. I made that mistake once and I don't intend to do it again.
It might be different in Korea (can't remember), but the airports in Japan and Europe are horrible for exchange. |

yeah, I figured it'll be like that, but I wont have the time this week to hit up a bank and transfer the money back home.
I suppose I can wait til I get to Canada, but I dont want to carry all of that won on me (Not worried about the amount, just the number of bills) |

That's right. I forgot about the HUGE amount of bills you get in Korea. In Japan, it's about one tenth the amount of bills for the same value.
That's ok. Just stick it in your crotch. I heard rumours you've got alot of room down there ! |

Much nasty, my friend.
So, anyone else have any information about the max amount of money I can exchange... or inquiries about my package? |

I don't believe there is any limit on how much you can exchange. If you exchange more than $10,000, you just have to declare it when you arrive home. |

I will agree with the statement that won currency exchanges are a rip...especially at airports. It is true. A terrible, terrible rate. Therefore, I wouldn't suggest it. How long does it take to go to a bank and get TC's or money orders??? Really, it took me 15 minutes to get TC's and I feel much better because I don't have to stagger around with a bunch of won in my pocket. It is better to exchange the money here than outside of the country. That said...how busy are you that you can't afford 15 minutes to go and get the TC's??? |
