Just thought I'd make the thread. In the future, people will probbaly search for ECKEDU and not find any threads because the cmpany was originally ECC.

Maybe people will stumple upon this thread and realize that the name has changed.

The "ECC" name has a bad reputation.

ECKEDU sounds like ICKEDU.

This is going to be funny.

I went to ECC (ECKEDU) for a part time job to teach corporate English. They took my resume, falsified it, and then gave it to the Corporate client. At the interview at the Corporate office, ECC told me to just go along with it. I got to look at the tweaked resume and there were a few additions in the "experience" and "skills" sections.

"ECC" is/was a division of "YBM" - certainly it was when I worked there circa 2005, not sure nowadays.

But the separation or renaming of ECC from YBM, if that is what is happening, would make it equally interesting for YBM ELS (the adult hagwon version of the same company) presumably it could or will be subject to change as well.

I think at its core, the company-owned ECC product is sound - save for the extreme lack of vacation time for staff which was always my major gripe with the company.

The thread on Immigration using foreigners as bait . . .

ECC Korea is one of the agencies being busted by immigration. I highly recommend you search for your name on ECC Korea's website if you ever sent a resume to that agency, even if you never worked there (and don't have the proper visa conditions or permission).

10 years later, ECKEDU is still doing the same thing! Surprised that companies like that can last so long, lol. I don't know if they're originally racist but they're mostly only hiring white people. DEFINITELY NOT ASIANS (including brown people), maybe they hire black people here and there. It's funny that they even have the privilege of being picky with how horrible the company is and the high turnover rate.
