Wow, peppermint, 1200? I only teach 90 students a week (ah, the hagwon life!) the vast majority in elementary and early middle school. I used to think I wanted to teach adults but I've found the younger students learn more, try harder, have more energy and are more fun. It's hard to imagine giving them up for inhibited older folk who don't want to practice, cannot be pushed much and only want to have conversations with their ill-equipped English.

Yeah, public elementary school- forty kids per class, and an average of five classes a day. It's a challenge to keep them under control, but then it was a huge challenge to get adults to talk at 6:30 AM too.

Obviously with those numbers I don't remember their names, but I do remember faces, and the personalities that go with some., Because I'm a bit of a novelty, they often hang around my classroom too.

For me, the younger the better. I love 3-7 year olds. They are little sponges who love learning and love their teacher. What else could I want?

I will soon be starting year 6 in Korea. I have taught preschool thru post doctoral students.

And I agree that 3-7 year olds can be the best.

Besides, I love doing crayon projects, etc. In many ways I think I am also at about 3-7 years old.
