I've lifted this from post by BTM and added it here... wb scratches her head and wonders how stuff like this should fall under her FAQ...

This is new, I think, and very very cool. Zoomable map of Seoul, down to street level. Use the minimap at the lower left to define a map area, then click and drag on the main map to zoom in.

Enjoy.

Edit : It looks like the direct link craps out for some reason. Try this

http://english.metro.seoul.kr/sitemap/index.cfm

and go to 'New Seoul Map' under 'Multimedia' about halfway down on the right.

The above is good. It's recent article saying that culture should be secondary in teaching is very controversial but pretty well put together. However, it was put up I hear to promote debate and not be the last word of the matter. It trashes EPIK for presenting a rather stale view of the importanceof Korean culture in the classroom. The Korean education ministry has no choice but to reinvent that programme though it is so marginal I know-who cares. The stuff of Sperling and Nation are also excellent and Robertson's material on pronunciation is a guiding light for teachers. Sadly most Korean teachers and Korean prfessors in too many cases can neither read nor understand most of the articles on this site so it may require putting some articles up in Hangul and a few more simpler ones. But there is always internet-tesl-journal for that!
