I ordered a dartboard off of gmarket for the apartment but it's a total piece of crap. The problem is that it was the only steel tip dart board I could find. Everything else is magnetic tips (even dartpower.co.kr).
Does anyone know where I can find a real dart board in Seoul? I've checked the major retailers (emart etc) with no luck. At this point I might even go for a soft tip board but can't find anything... I'd rather not have to ship it in from overseas.
Thanks! |

Check, http://www.dartsshop.kr/bemarket/shop/
Be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for a board but it is the only place in korea I could find for darts and supplies in korea.
I just get up a big order and bring it in from A-ZDarts in California |

Friends Bar. It's up hooker hill(or is it homo hill?). Can't remember. Anyway, I bought my board from there over a year ago and couldn't be happier. The metal ring on it is razor thin. I've never had a bounce out. Awesome. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. |

Hmm thanks for the advice!
Friends bar... is it a bar?
How much was your board?
I'd be willing to go explore the area (despite all the peekaboo's) if I can pick up a nice board and maybe some darts. |

Yep, it's a bar. They have several dartboards on the wall there.
The owner ships the boards in and sells them to whomever is looking. Not sure what the mark -up is on them. I vaguely remember paying 120-140,000 won for board and darts. Actually, maybe it was 100,000 all together. Can't be sure, sorry.
As you head up the hill, friends bar is on the right. It's on the second fl. I'm quite sure it's on hooker hill as I remember ladies coming to the doors to lure us in. I am a gentleman and it would be rude to refuse.....
kidding.
anyway, give it a shot. There is another bar in itaewon that sells darts(and I assume boards). It's called Blue Frog. Head down the street from Coffee Bean(opposite Geckos terrace) pass the family mart and take your first left. Walk up the street and keep an eye for it on your left.
One more place is in Hongdae. I think it's called Cox bar. Not sure , as I havne't been. But will report back soon as I hope to go there in the near future.
Let us know if you've found your board or not. |

Thanks for the responses guys.
The guy at Blue Frog was nice enough to take my # and call me later this week when the new boards come in, he's going to hold onto a used one for me. Ended up playing for several hours there with my friend and joined a tournament.
Sorry for the initial double post, eslcafe was quite slow when I initially posted and ended up hitting submit twice. and I hit submit twice.
Thanks again for all your help! |

Hey guys..
Got the Nodor Supabull II hanging up on the wall (went for a new one). The height and distance is perfect. It's really amazing to listen to the quite thud of my darts sinking in to this baby.
Now I just have to focus on not sucking. If I can get ahead in cricket I'll typically run up the score as much as I can until my opponent closes to buy me as many cracks at the bull as possible. This strategy seems to piss people off in the bars lol... but it's all about winning and since I'm not very good, yet if I throw 2 blank rounds in a row trying to hit the bull my opponent can close out and start scoring on me. Although I spent last night really running the score up (about 300 - 150) against a player I thought was much better and then hit 3 bulls in a row to close it lol. |
