I wouldn't worry about Customs too much- I heard on the news the other day that someone managed to mail a fully working AK47 from the States to an address in Canada. Can you say 'asleep at the switch', boys and girls?
Postal services, customs 'all screwed up' |

I did a Korea, LA, Vancouver loop last year & Vancouver customs gave me a hard time because I didnt have enough luggage!
Woman was suspicious all I had was a small backpack, she said "I've heard of travelling light but this is ridiculous." Gave me a real 3rd degree. |

Same problem at JFK...the woman was very upset I hadn't checked any luggage. Is that not my choice!!?! |

Haven't had any problems yet when I go home to visit. If I'm travelling with expensive things I usually declare them anyway. They ask me if I intend to take them with me when I leave, I say yes and they say "ok".
