| I regret not bringing more Mexican style seasonings. Those little packets of fajita, burrito or taco seasonings go a long way. Anyone know where to buy them in Busan? |

I bought about 12 sticks, thinking one a month, but then i remember how hot it gets here in summer. I came as a tourist back a few years ago. Showering twice a day would not be out of the ordinary... meaning you're easily doubling your deoderant consumption. So yeah, even though i've only been here since December I wish now i brought like 24 sticks.
I mean you can find it here but it's about $12 for a little spray on can. I swear you could make a lot of income by having someone back home buying the stuff in bulk when it goes on sale for $2, import it, and then sell it for $6, half of what you'd pay at Carrefour. |

You can make your own:
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons garlic powder
Chili powder isn't hard to find in Korea. Cumin... that's another story. Oregano you can get at Carrefour or maybe e-mart or even Lotte. Cumin I substituted parsley flakes, which I also found at Carrefour. Garlic powderis also easy to find.
Anyway, I made some the other day and it was okay... not quite as good as the taco poweder packet, but acceptable.
The seoul downtown Lotte sells some kind of taco sauce, although its in liquid format and in a can. I've not investigated it, however. |

| I'm a little bummed that my husband left my Great grandmother's Chip and Dale chair behind when he joined me here. He never did appreciate that large, heavy, lovely piece of furniture. |

Sorry man, but that's just not the same as a Reese PB cup. Only Reese knows the proper proportion of chocolate and peanut butter for each cup. Damn I miss my Reese PB cups. |

| There is a candy machine at the USO office on the army base, which civilians can go to without any problem. When I was there 9 months ago, they had Reese PB cups. You could give it a try if you are in Seoul. |

Aparently beards are mysterious and elusive in korea. Thus so are electric beard trimmers.
Also I wish I would have brought my Ultimate Regulation Frisbee!! All I can find here are cheepo crapo discs.

I have found recently that there is some more decent underwear available in Korea. Or at least things that I'll wear! I always hit those little fly-by-night shops that set up in an empty storefront in a residential area, got some cute things there (bras that came real close to fitting, too!) I know this sounds really awful, but I've also got some great underwear at the W1,000 stores.

Cheese! I mean really good cheese! Not the cheap ass crap in the black market stores either. I'm talking quality here.
Mexican stuff.
Coffee. The good stuff. All I can find here is that damnable hazelnut crap. I like a variety of flavors. I also like real real coffee. And my supply is running low......
I only brought a couple of sticks of deoderant.
One stick a month???
WTF? How much are you slathering on? You might as well be taking a bath in it.

Seriously, though. Do people need to bring that much deoderant when they come to South Korea? I figured 6 sticks would be enough.
